We have a Family staying with us, 6 week’s ago s student living in samoan had just finish school and was waiting for her bus arrive when a group of student from another school drove by and through a bottel of petrol at the student, as samoa was unable to cope witht he care of the student’s injuries she was needed to getting treatment from NZ, The school paid for her family and her to come to NZ for 3 months, 5 week’s after treatment the student was able to leave hospital and resume her treatment at home, The family still had 8 weeks reamining in NZ and would spend this time as a holiday staying with family, the family who agreed to provide shalter to this family were kept in the dark and had no idea how this family would cope for the remaining time in NZ little to the host family’s suprise, the host family would have to provide everythink, food, water, shower, laundy, taxi service, internet office equiptemnt and most of their time, it was getting frastrating for the host family as they felt as though they were being used.  The student’s family from samoa would sleep in to some time 3 pm at time’s, smoke in the toilet, eat alot and expect to be taking where they wanted to go.

I would recommend before saying yes to agreeing to look after family’s from the island’s, find out how long they will be here, and if so seeing how the school paid for the trip it’s only fair the school provide accommendation as well.
